Journal and Wire Report

Albuquerque-filmed "Breaking Bad" took home two coveted Emmys on Sunday night, including a third consecutive Best Actor in a Drama Series statue for Bryan Cranston who plays Walter White, a high school math teacher turned methamphetamine dealer.

"During the time it took me to walk up here, I venture there were 200 text messages to the other nominees saying, 'You were robbed.' I cannot argue with that," Cranston said.

Among the people Cranston thanked during his acceptance speech was Albuquerque actor Steven Michael Quezada, who plays Steven Gomez on "Breaking Bad."

The show's Aaron Paul won his first Emmy, taking home the statue for Best Supporting Actor. He portrays Jesse Pinkman, White's sidekick, on the hit AMC show, which is set in Albuquerque and follows White on his descent into the drug world while cancer eats at his body.
